2015 Tanabata FestivalInspiration2015 Tanabata Festival by the-haiku-club
Tanabata is a Japanese star festival that celebrates the reunion of Orihime (Vega) and Hikoboshi (Altair). According to legend they are separated by the Amanogawa (Milky Way, lit. "heavenly river") and may only meet once per year on the seventh day of the seventh lunar month.
In present-day Japan people generally celebrate this day by writing wishes, often in the form of poetry, on small pieces of paper called tanzaku. They hang these on bamboo, sometimes with other decorations.

I'm a poseur|
I don't take photographs, I take pretty pictures
I don't write poetry, I doodle with words
I don't do photomanipulations, I fiddle with filters
I'm a poseur (not to be confused with Poser )
And I'm okay with that
If you're okay with that, come on in and enjoy
